The Black Magic Longreach Powerchuck Lumo is a premium pulley style surfcasting rig designed for anglers who fish demanding beach conditions and need maximum casting performance. Built specifically for New Zealand surf beaches, it helps deliver longer casts, reduces tangles, and keeps your presentation effective even in rough water and heavy surf.
Its streamlined, aerodynamic design positions the bait directly above the sinker during the cast, creating a weight forward setup that cuts through the air with minimal resistance. This allows anglers to reach greater distances, clear breaking waves, and target productive channels, gutters, and outer sandbars where fish are often feeding.
To maximise hook up rates, the rig is fitted with Black Magic’s premium DX and KLT hooks. These chemically sharpened hooks feature a durable PTFE coating for excellent corrosion resistance and fast, reliable penetration. Combined with vibrant Octo skirts and luminous glow beads, the rig creates an eye catching presentation that remains highly visible in murky water, low light conditions, and after dark.
