Description

These chrome plated brass Tagline Returns come with rubber bumpers to protect your boat from potential damage.

Utilizing tag lines while trolling lures significantly improves hookup percentages by reducing drop-back when a clip releases upon a strike. Attaching a tag line to the outrigger halyard and then connecting your line via a clip or rubber band allows for immediate tension when a fish takes the lure.

For effective use, all tag lines should incorporate a Kilwell tag line retrieve weight to keep the line out of the water and avoid tangling with the fish. The pressure generated by a large lure pulls the tag line to a position aligned with the outrigger's pulling point. Upon a strike, the tag line releases, and the outrigger weight brings it back down to the cockpit for easy resetting after catching the fish.

Choose from a range of retriever weights available to suit your riggers. As the heavy weight can descend rapidly after a strike, adding a Kilwell EVA Tagline Stopper beneath the weight on the rigger halyard acts as a cushion, protecting your rigger and boat hardware at the outrigger base.
